Day 4 Highlights

* Chiggers and ticks.

* Finding the grave site of Dr. John Hillman, a highly respected local doctor.

* Sharing antibiotics with my dad and uncle.

* Learning more about Charles Cromwell Addington, one of my great...grandfathers. One anecdote: at his 100th birthday party, he picked up a 100 lb bag of feed with his teeth. Yup, that's right.

* The thrill of the hunt: today we were hot on the trail of some significant mellungeons like Lewis Green Jr. and John A. Bingham.

* Successfully avoiding snakes and Deliverance reenactments.

* Mingling (Dennis) with southern women like Daisy Mae. What happens in Appalachia, stays in Appalachia (but may go on the blog).
