New Edition

Everyone around for Easter will get to see the newest member of the Marquis Family....If Danae doesn't have the baby by next week, she's being induced next Wens.! She's due the middle of April but a few weeks ago they did an ultrasound and the baby already weighed over 8 lbs. in the womb.....so if you let it go another month we may have a record on our hands, and Danae is not to excited about the possibility of birthing a 12 lb. baby! Moriah was 8lbs. and Eden was 10....so given her past with big babies she and the doctor are opting to take it out!!! See you all then! Any bets on if it's a boy or a girl?

How many of you will be in Ohio for Easter? I'm thinking about coming down with the folks.

Cousin Council Book Club?

If, after seeing the movie Amazing Grace, you'd like to know more about John Newton, and help contribute to the inheritance of certain cousins at the same time, peruse the reading list here and see if you recognize any authors.

Man, we need a new post. This is sad.

Just getting back from the UK, I’m reflecting a bit on the Brit view of the U.S. of A. What I found really interesting: the responses I got when people found out I was from Michigan.

I got the typical—

Guy at Oxfam (the “UK Goodwill”): “Heard you get blizzards.”

Conference attendee (w/ some knowledge of W. Michigan): “So you live with the Dutch Mafia?”

I’m still puzzled over the following—

Server at the carvery: “Oh, I lived in Minnesota for eight years . . . Only place in America I liked.”

Because we all know Michigan is so incredibly not like Minnesota. You can read about carveries here.

And here’s my favorite—

Church Rector at St. Edward’s: “Oh, do you know Sufjan Stevens?”
