Vetoed Wedding Invitation Responses

As denied by a certain member of the council, here were my submissions to place on our wedding invitation response cards for folks to check off and return...

Positive

Yes, I can attend and life will not be as sweet until the day has come to pass!

Yes, I will be there, even though my secret desires to marry liz/doug (circle one) will now and forever be crashed upon the rocks of their fidelity!

Yes, I shall be present and blubbering!

Yes I will be there, can you find me a date?

Negative

No, I will not be present, and I do not love you enough to make any more effort.

No, I cannot attend because I have mis-placed priorities.

No, I won't be coming. Please pray for me.

I cannot be there, and I am simply miserable for it.

Well, I would come, except that I to wash my hair/do my nails/finish my novel (circle one)

I'll only come if I can be in the wedding party. Otherwise, your loss.

Huh? And who is Daniel?

How was Easter weekend in Ohio?

I was thinking about riding down with Dennis, but our real estate agent ending up scheduling a bunch of house showings on Friday. We found a house in south east Lansing that we really like--it has a huge back yard--over a 1/2 acre-- so it is like having your own private park! It has 3 big apple trees, 2 lilac, and 2 perennial gardens! I think we are going to make an offer this week.

Danielle and Billy--we welcome you to come paint or arrange our furniture anytime! :-)

BLOG FOR ONE AND BLOG FOR ALL!

I would just like to say that it seems like the quality of the cousin council blog has been decreasing since everyone is now writing on their own blogs. Come on--why does everything have to be privatized? Can't we be socialists and share one big happy blog as a whole family??? I've also noticed that certain members have not graced us with their presence (a.k.a.Danara and Doug) on the blog in a long time. Frankly, I think we need to discuss how long you can go without blogging and still be an active member of the cousin council.

for what ails ya

Fortunately, the melungeons are a relatively healthy breed. But, should the need ever arise:

Confession of sorts

Dear members of the Cousin Council, I must confess that I have been cheating on you with Myspace. I can't help it all the pretty pictures, friends old and new, all the excitment....And I won't name names but another member also partakes in myspace. Well I feel better now! So sorry if I've been distant lately but I've been in the land of adding friends, making comments, and sending messages. I have'nt blogged on my account yet...but I probably will, and the other unamed member most definatley does...and for months now! Well just thought I'd let you know. Can't wait to see you all or whoever is coming for Easter!

Good Birthday Presents

1. A birthday card from Grandma and Grandpa with the news from Richwood (went fishing last week but not one bite) as well as other family, friends, and well-wishers

2. A surprise birthday visit from DougieB, who drove from Dayton to Bloomington to enjoy some pad thai with my friends and I. (3. And he brought ice cream cake)

4. I tentatively got an internship for next fall! Things are still a bit up in the air in terms of administrative details, salary, etc., but they are interested in having me, which is great news, as this is my first choice.

All in all, a good week.

To the Members of the Cousin Council, leaders in the Hillman blogger revolution:

Cousin blogs are now up on the sidebar under links. Let me know if you have one to add, remove, or if you want to change the title.
